So? He did good at LSU when they won 6 games COMBINED the two years before he got there, and won 12 games with Alabama last year. Anybody, LSU fan or not, that doesn’t admit he is a good coach needs to tell me what they’re smoking.

you’re not making any sense. ESPN is not the deciding factor, but there opinion is the one you considered? the NCAA, yes the official ociation for college athletics, recognizes 17!!! With every iffy title someone argues against, they forget to mention a year we deserved the title and didnt get it. for example, the year 1966. look it up. we were 2 time defending champs, went undefeated, and didnt get a shot at the title.

uhhh and Les Miles upset Oklahoma twice when he was coaching Okla. State. Oklahoma was ranked #4 and #3 the two years he beat them. He’s won all of his bowl games at LSU in absolute blowout fashion…while Saban lost to Iowa on his way out the door and lost to UTAH last year. Mile’s bowl record is 5-2, Saban’s is 4-6. The idea that Mile’s won because of Saban is an absolute myth.

wow, you gumps dont know much do you? Saban was a nobody before he came to LSU. His W-L records for his 5 seasons at Michigan State were 6-5, 6-6, 7-5, 6-6, and 9-2. Saban lost EVERY bowl game that he went to while he was there. And no, i wasn’t referring to ESPN’s poll for BCS championships…(moron)

Saban spent 4 years at Mich. State….. his last year, they went 10-2…….. thier best season record since the 1960’s. Saban saw a mud-hole SEC team needing a good coach to actually put them into contention (LSU)…….. and he took the opportunity……..

Saban was actually a highly acreddited coach from Michigan State before LSU….. Michigan state had losing seasons for like a decade until Saban got there…. three years later they upset the #1 team in the country. But of course you didnt know that….

As a student here at Bama, believe me… The majority of people here KNOW Saban is what is bringing this amount of momentum to our program. Even Bama fans acknowledge that we are lucky to have Saban. We just are hoping her won’t leave our school like he did LSU and Miami. He might.. he might now. We’ll see.

Last time someone made that comment 2 years ago, Texas Tech was beaten by Alabama’s defense. Plus I work with a former fullback from Oklahoma who said he was majorly impressed with Alabama this year. I guess it will take some more games before we know.
