Since this the start of Rivalry Week in college football, What is the best rivalry in College football?
Even though Michigan vs Ohio State isn’t what it use to be like a few years ago, it is still the best rivalry in college football. They have been battling for decades and a lot of these games have determined who won the big ten championship so for me this is the best rivalry in college football and the second best rivalry in all of sports (of course Red Sox vs Yankees are #1)
Alabama vs Auburn is also one of my favorite rivalries as well.
Correct.
I’m a Michigan fan and I know from experience that Michigan and Ohio State fans just hate each other. It’s always the last game of the year (excluding bowls) for each team and most of the time both are high ranked. There are some other rivalries that are great but they don’t come close to Michigan and Ohio State (excluding Red Sov vs. Yankees).
Ten Year War: Michigan 5 - 4 - 1
Overall: Michigan 57 - 42 - 6

ND vs USC is my #1 rivalry.
I love the history of the two teams, and it’s always fun to watch. Hopefully my Irish can win next year for the first time since 2001 (so frustrated).

I’m a Michigan fan. I have a cousin who plays linebacker for the Wolverines right now. But Army-Navy is the best. I know there aren’t any future NFLer’s on the rosters, but if you want to see true warriors play, this is the game. Nobody (not even Tebow) plays harder than these two teams. They aren’t playing for themselves or for a championship but to these two teams this is the championship. They don’t give a damn about the BCS. Presidents attend this game. Roger Staubach played in this game. I just think it embodies everything that college sports is supposed to be about.

The Iron Bowl - Alabama vs. Auburn is a good one. They are both from the same state and Alabama leads the series 39-33-1.

I used to think Miami and Florida State was the best in the early 2000s actually but it’s died out since.
I still go with Michigan and Ohio State as the best rivalry in College Football. There always seems to be a Big 10 title or National title game appearance of undefeated season on the line when they meet. That 2007 game when both teams were 11-0 and #1 and #2 in the nation where the Buckeyes prevailed 49-38 is a game I’ll never forget
Still the best rivalry to me

tOSU vs UM is widely recognized as the top rivalry in sports.
The early years were a little Ag school vs the Monsters of the Midwest.
Since the first OSU victory it is 43-42 Michigan.
UM has been stinking it up in recent years
But, OSU recovered from the Cooper years.
UM can made it a rivalry again.
PSU fans think of OSU as their rival
It is closer between the two recently

Lately its fizzled out but the FLorida vs Florida State game used to be the game of the year every year during the 90s, i think the stats say that 4 meetings during the 90s decided who went to the national championship and 5 meetings occured when both teams were ranked in the top 5, and then they actually met in a national championship, to this day i think they are the only rivals to meet in a national championship (unless USC and ND met for one).
