What should I do to play college football?
I want to play for a decent school, and actually play and not just be on the roster. I’m a junior now and just started playing last year at WR. I’m 5′8" and 150 but gaining weight. I’ve been working out, eating tons, throwing and catching with friends alot and playing soccer. I’d really like to play NFL after college but I don’t really think that’ll happen, but it’s nice to dream big. What else can I do to get into a college for football and progress from there?
Think about changing position to running back or safety. At 5′8", you will be 6" shorter than most receivers. Work with a personal trainer who has experience with college and pro players on gaining speed and strength. You will want to shoot for a 4.4 40, if not better.
Of course, work on the fundamentals.
