jwang, there have … jwang, there have been several studies done to show that depriving your body of it’s natural circadian rhythm (basically sleeping from dusk to dawn) can cause or aggravate depression, and depression in and of itself can shorten lifespan (I suspect it all has to do with sunlight and vitamin D). Still, I know many many night owls who prefer third-shift work and actually thrive with their circadian rhythm in reverse (myself included).
Still, I suffer … Still, I suffer from mad-dog depression and I have a sleep cycle very similar to jreily: I usually go to sleep around 4 am and wake up around 8 am, feeling more refreshed than if I had gone to bed at 10 pm and gotten up at 6 or even 8 am. Not sure what’s up with that and how depression/nutrition fits in. I wonder if metabolic typing has an ociation with “circadian typing” or something of that sort, cuz I sure do seem to do better at night.
Dude, you know your … Dude, you know your . Big up and peace out brother.

I use UV-B … I use UV-B sunglasses starting around 8′oclock at night indoor….helps me with my sleep cycle…try it out…got the tip from a bipolar forum…with the sunglasses you can use the computer ut to 11.00 without disturbing your cyrcadian rythm…
People who work nights most of the time tend to live shorter lives because it throws their bodies out of wack over the long term. Doing this for a few years may not do much, but the folks who spend 20 years working nights and sleeping days tend to have higher disease rates and lower overall health.
lol what are you … lol what are you talking about? Who said anything about back-to-back shifts? I was only talking about the time of the day to sleep. Please read my comment again. thanks.
Sorry, but people … Sorry, but people who spend most of their lives working back shifts tend to die younger. Do a little searching and you can find the studies that have proven this.
you’ll feel tired … you’ll feel tired if you sleep too much because you’re body has been deprived of energy from food for too long. And also if you dream a lot, especially nightmares, it will disrupt your sleep, as your sleep should be relaxed. So before you go to bed don’t do anything that over excites the body and mind like video games. The best sleep is when you wake up naturally. Also remember to clear your mind before you sleep, drink a glass of warm milk to relax the body. Sleeping really does wonders.
not really, every … not really, every country has it’s own time zone, so you’re meaning to tell me people that sleep at 10pm in Hong Kong, which is like 10am here in the states, are more prone to cancer? What about people who work graveyard shifts? and only get to sleep in the morning? There’s nothing that backs up whatever he’s saying. Sleeping in itself does all the healing and rejuvenating the body needs as long as your consistent. let it be 3pm-11pm, or 6pm-2am consistently everyday. I’m healthy as a horse!
Thanks for the … Thanks for the video, man. I’ve always wondered why whenever I would go to bed at 2 AM and sleep for about 9 hours I would wake up feeling like I hadn’t slept at all. Now, what’s also weird is that if I sleep 3 hours, I feel more rested than if I had slept for 8 or more hours. Does this have anything to do with what time I got to bed at?
im SO HAPPY. hahah … im SO HAPPY. hahah im so so so happy you are spreading this stuff. im going to echo your words and promote your website like diet soda bro.
people who come on … people who come on here to prove this guy wrong, are loosers, unless some one is more knowlegable about this topic than this man, shut the up. haters make me sick, like he said. GO TO SLEEP ha ha nice vid.
YOO!!!! when you … YOO!!!! when you said “going to sleep at 2am and waking up at 10am” You were talking directly to me. I am definately changing my ways…Thanks man..
I’ve actually … I’ve actually traced my genes to Irish immigrants, back to English royalty, back to Visi-Goth invaders, waaaaay back to Scythians, and then back to Babylon, so actuly NONE of my ancestors EVER lived in a cave, YOU’RE FULL OF IT BUDDY.
