I’ve been losing it for weeks, my doc said that it can regenerate so not to put much wieght on whether losing your plug means labor or not

If someone lost thier plug and went right into labor then it was a coincidence

I think it might be different for every woman, but when I lost my mucus plug, I went into labor that same day within a couple of hours. To get a difinite answer you might want to check with your doctor, and even then, it may vary. Good luck!!

If I lost my mucus plug I never knew it. My Dr never pointed out to me that I lost it either. So I can’t help you. I usually go into labor with no other signs…I won’t be dilated or effaced (thinning of the cervix) and next thing I know I’m contracting 5 minutes apart…My water never breaks on it’s own either (actually only about 10% of women have that happen).

man aren’t they lucky! I lost mine 2 days ago… still waiting to pop!!! (this is # 3 for me 37 weeks 4 days..)

With baby # 1 I went right into labor that same day I lost my plug and had her that same night. With baby # 2 I don’t even remeber loosing my plug. I was in alot of pain and I took my daughter trick or treating and by the time we were done my water had broke on the way back to the car. With baby # 3 I lost my mucus plug at 32 weeks I went to the doctor to for a regular appt and she told me that I was already 3cm and 80% effaced. And I had been in no pain at all. now I’m 36 weeks with contractions on and off through out the day and still no baby. So it depends on your body I guess. good luck and congrats on the baby

that same day...I lost my mucous plug and then bam I went into labor..
