Are the Cleveland Cavs really trying to bring in a championship team around LeBron James?
(sorry for the typos in the video)
I’m putting the Cleveland Cavaliers on blast. I think all LeBron James supporters should do the same thing. I guarantee you if LeBron James was playing here in Chicago that we would see Da Chicago Bulls build a real championship team around him. Look at the supporting cast the Celtics brought in around Paul Pierce, look at the supporting cast the Lakers brought in around Kobe Bryant, look at the supporting cast around Dwight Howard. The Cleveland Cavs have done a poor job at building a true championship team around LeBron. The Cavs decided that they would put shooters around LeBron so when he draws the defense in he can kick it out to capable shooters. Is that really helping LeBron though, ask yourself? Do the Cavaliers really have a sidekick for LeBron who can take some of the pressure off his shoulders by creating their own offense?
The Cavaliers have 1 mode of attack when it pertains to their offense, “get the ball to LeBron”. They don’t have a dominant low post presence who LeBron can rely on. They don’t have superstars around LeBron James. They have good players, and this team is able to rattle off wins, but when push comes to shove and they face top tier competition, they just can’t win.
It’s time for the Cavaliers to make a REAL MOVE for a REAL SIDEKICK like Amare Stoudemire or Chris Bosh (to name a few). If the Cavs don’t want to build a real contender around LeBron, we would love to have him here in Chicago.
CAVS FANS:
It’s time for you season ticket holders, and true Cavs fans to make some noise in Cleveland. You need to demand that the Cavs make a real move to bring in a legit superstar sidekick for LeBron or you risk losing the NBA MVP to another team/free agency in 2010. It’s just not right for LeBron James to do everything he can, night in and night out, while the franchise he plays for isn’t putting in the same type of effort into building a championship team around him. The Cavs organization lacks true championship commitment. They just expect LeBron to carry an above average supporting cast to championships, it’s unrealistic and on their part it’s a total fantasy.
Write the sports writers in Cleveland, write Danny Ferry, lobby, complain, and demand for your Cleveland Cavs to make a real move. That’s exactly what us Bears fans have been doing with the Chicago Bears for years when it pertains to the quarterback position, look, we have Jay Cutler now, he may or may not be a franchise QB but it could pay off in the long-run. You gotta make some noise Cavs fans.

Putting “shooters” …
Putting “shooters” around lebron is all good and nice but that can only take the cavs so far. ENOUGH with puttin perimeter players around lebron, he needs a BIG GUY! You win rings these days when u have a low post dominant star-like C/PF. When u really look at it, lebron has NEVER had THAT type of guy. Z is a shooting big man and is slow as a turtle! Andy V. is NOT the answer. when u really look at the cavs they have NO low post game what-so-ever! Get lebron a STAR big man already FERRY!

the cavs screwed up …
the cavs screwed up when they went on that “splurge” of larry hughes donyell marshall and damon jones and turned those players into ben wallace wally szerbiak joe smith and delonte west (who actually had value in the playoffs) the 2 players that make the most sense is the matrix shawn marion and jason kidd. i see boozer as a miami heat or la laker

lebron needs a strong post presence if he had a player like pau gasol that be heavan for lebron he just needs a player he can rely on i think a dominant post presence is really all lebron needs whether it be a center or a power forward.Lebron said at the beginning of the year he doesnt feel that his team is ready for championship yet Lebrons only 24 years of age guys keep in mind the goat michael didnt start winnin ships till he was 28 so theres plenty of time fellas

Unless of course …
Unless of course LeBron leaves Cleveland (which I do not believe he will), the Cavs are going to find it very hard to find a sidekick for LeBron at this point. Ben Wallace is getting paid over 14 million and I don’t think there’s a market for him anymore. The team wants to win with Ilgauskas but he’s too slow and one-dimensional (shooting) to be a main guy. Salary cap issues seem to be lurking if the Cavs want to attract a guy like Amare or CB4 (I think Bosh would be a better fit, anyway)

Right NOW Varejao …
Right NOW Varejao is the only one who can really help LeBron. But if Bosh or Boozer came, we would have someone who can rebound better, and block shots. Varejao is the type that takes charges. I just think we need a better big man thats all lol.

Sorry, I’m still …
Sorry, I’m still flattered by someone else telling Cleveland fans what to do…you clearly haven’t followed our local press (papers & radio) and/or fans to know that we’ve been begging for the right kind of help for LeBron…we have lobbied for years.
So the McDaniels fallout had NOTHING to do with the Bears acquisition of Cutler? I
I don’t really care either way, I’m a Browns fan and we haven’t been able to change anything for decades…I’m just shocked you didn’t delete my first reply!

Cavs need to put …
Cavs need to put Lebron as a freakin small forward. Quit letting him dribble the ball 30 feet out. Let him catch it from 18 feet and in where he is more productive, off movement at that.
Cavs also need a offense w/ball n player movement
Not to mention a 4 or 5 man needs to be picked up in the offseason
I don’t blame LeBron for not shaking hands or doing the interview after the game. It was a pretty clear msg to managment. Get me more help or I’m gone. I can’t say I blame him.

Yea i agree but they would have to give up Varejo or someone. And Varejo is really a good player and he’s the only one who could really help LeBron. But yea I agree. Bosh or Boozer will be a better “sidekick” to LeBron.

Hey Bruce, me again. =] Devout fan of your videos, bro.
The thing is, Danny Ferry has only so much MONEY to work with. And the only thing he COULD do this passed season is get Ben Wallace and Szczerbiak. But, now after getting rid of some of the load, I think a great PF like Bosh will come in. In fact, I think Bosh has said that he wants to play for the Cavs. Bosh wants to win, too. And Toronto isn’t doing anything.

The Cavs need a …
The Cavs need a dominate big man to be unstoppable plain and simple. Z, Big Ben, and Wally are to old and slow for a team like Orlando. However I do think the Cavs were building up the team to beat Boston with Garnett, which I believe we would of beaten them. I think Mo will really shine next year because before playing with the Cavs he had very little playoff experience.

lol it’s like without lebron the cavs are the worst team in the NBA (im not even joking)
that being said…
the organization hasnt done that much of a terrible job
they brought mo williams in but they didnt know he would do bad in the eastern finals
they also drafted JJ Hickson… i have a feeling that hickson will be a big part of the cavs franchise next year

I am sorry to say …
I am sorry to say as much as I would like to see it happen the Cavs will not get Amare or Bosh. I just can’t see it happening. I would like to see us get Boozer back or maybe even Tyson Chandler. And at SG maybe go after Gerald Wallace. If we got any of those we would have the size to match up with anybody. Overall I think we have the Talent now we’re just tooo undersized. Lebron will not leave in 2010 believe that.

First Off, The Cavs …
First Off, The Cavs had the best record in the NBA. They did a really good job of building a team. I like the Mo Williams addition they made. The problem we had was our matchup problems against Orlando. We just didn’t have the strength. Ferry has tried to put together a Championship team. He got us Hughes but Hughes came in and sucked. Mo Williams destroyed in the Regular Season. He just had a bad series. I think all they need is a tall SG and I have a feeling Boozer will come back.
