I was at this game, on the North Upper Deck. It would not have mattered where they kicked it, BYU got great penitration on that play and would have blocked it anywhere.

At the time of the call the penalties called by the (Pac cannot loose) Pac 10 officials:
BYU 6-45 yards
Wash 3-20 yards
I would say with Wash ready to tie this up the Hacky Pac10 reffs were looking to make the officiating not look soo biased so they called a ticky tacky call on Wash ONLY after they scored a touchdown, and on an extra point try.

This one penalty screwed over Washington’s whole season. The NCAA is really taking the fun out of the game.

I was in the student section for that game, and I have never been more angry in my whole entire life. I was so sad for about a week after that game. And especially since we didn’t win a game all season, that could’ve been our 1 one win that season. I can’t believe it to this day.

Pac10 refs…need i say more. . its not the wrong call cuz it is a rule but just the wrong judgement. i dont make that call. there is a handful of players that do that…tim tebow, pat white…and locker hahah Sark the shark is gonna on the pac10 next year

The BYU players did not think it was excessive. Crap calls all game is right against BYU. This was the second celebration call in the game. The pac 1 has the worst officiating I’ve ever seen.
