The reason it is important to change the label from Enemy Combatants to Prisoners of War. Enemy combatants were not protected by the Geneva Convention - therefore Bush and Co could do - gee - anything they wanted.

“Obama considers expanding Afghan Security Force” the plan is to increase the Afghan Army from 90,000 to 400,000 this will of course involve and huge military commitment from the U.S. to achieve. Amazingly this is the EXACT plan Lt. Col. John Nagl discussed with Rachel Maddow a couple night ago.
So much for Obama’s campaign promise to end the wars.
