How can I compress an image without losing its quality?
I have a 98 Kb image and i need to shrink it to about 30-40 Kb without losing its quality anyone know how?
You really cannot avoid losing quality when you "shrink" image to smaller file sizes.
Considering that most images used in magazines are in the range of 50 mb TIFF files, your 98KB file is already very small.
The question I have is what application needs an image file that is 30-40 kb? Most email and image sharing websites allow images that are 600 x400 @ 72 DPI and those file sizes can range from 100kb to 250kb depending upon the colour content of the file.

It's already pretty small. It probably can't be done.
